Cameramen like KV Anand and Saravanan have turned directors and so has RD Rajasekar, who has 2 solid stories on hand. One is for Surya, the other for Arya.
Unfortunately, both stars seem to be busy. "Whoever gives me call sheet first, I will start the film by this year end," says Rajasekar.
Usually when cameramen turn directors, they hand over camera work to others. But RD Rajasekar wants to do the cinematography himself for the first 2 films he directs and for subsequent directorial ventures, he will give opportunity to his associate friends.
Right now he's doing the cinematography for 'Sathyam' and 'Singakutty.' He's an ardent fan of John Woo. Getting recognition with 'Better Tomorrow' in Hong Kong, Woo has directed super hits 'Face Off,' 'Mission Impossible 2,' 'Broken Arrow' and 'Wind Walker.' The camera always roves in his films, instead of being stationary.
RD's aim is to direct films like John Woo
